Washing woes

Someone is coming to look at my washing machine today.......I secretly hope he says it can't be fixed cause I want a new one. I know that is selfish, but this one is over 20 years old. It has been fixed and refixed. I did find a used one on Craigslist....... $ 450 for a washer and dryer that are about 2 years old. I don't really need a dryer but then who knows how long it will last . It is as old and as fixed and refixed as the washer.

I guess I'll know by tonight which way we will go.

"Bear" necessities

New to this blogging thing, but today is a beautiful cool crisp Autumn day. I am going to "tea" (lunch) with some awesome women today. Looking forward to the blessing that I know they will bring. God is Good !!! We vote a week from tomorrow. Be sure to examine your heart and make sure that the person you vote for upholds the same core values that are most important to you. Sometimes what is best is not always what is popular. Everyone is impacted by the uncertainty of the economy but I heard this (childrens) song (from Disney's The Jungle Book this morning and it seemed to be the perfect "motto" for this current "Bear" Market....
and for the bear necessities
the simple bear necessities
forget about your worries and your strife
i mean the bear necessities
that's why a bear can rest at ease
with just the bear necessities of life

If we can all learn to live within our means and not rely so much on credit, we can get through this quite comfortably, I believe.

second post

Well I guess I failed the first post !!!  I hit something which posted the post before I had written anything yet.  

So here goes another attempt.  However I really don't have much of anything to say so I will just say stay tuned.
